Subject: Basic Activities – Kannada, Language – Hindi, Language - Kannada/Tamil/Urdu, Math, Science – Biology, Science – Chemistry, Science – Physics, Social Science – History, Social Science – Geography, Social Science - Social & Political Life.

Job Summary

The main job responsibilities for this position are as below:

  • Design and Conduct programs for continuous professional development of teachers and head teachers on:

  1. the perspectives of education,

  2. subject content,

  3. pedagogy and assessment

  4. Practicing Academic Leadership

  • Develop a community of teachers that is interested in improving the quality of learning for children through

  1. peer learning - To work in groups with teachers and discuss on different subject specific topics as per the curriculum

  2. collaborative work – mobilizing and working along with teachers to organize workshops and melas

  3. reflective practice – Review of activities and workshops conducted, preparation of reports on field activities

  4. contribute towards management of Learning and Resource Center in different blocks

  • Contribute towards building the value and culture of the Foundation by:

    1. practicing democratic values

    2. socialize and help your colleagues on various projects

    3. take self-initiatives to develop yourself both academically and as a better human being.

    4. Contribute in the process of conceptualization of various initiatives, programs, events, and annual plan of your District Institute.


Qualification and Experience:

  • A graduate / postgraduate degree in one of these subjects (Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Languages - Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil)

  • Minimum 2+ years of work/fellowship experience in education (Teaching, pedagogy, development, cultivation of thoughts). Some direct involvement in schools is desirable

  • Proficiency in local language (Hindi/Tamil/Kannada)
