Thozhi was Founded in 2012. They run a shelter for homeless trans women, supported by Chennai Corporation. They conduct sensitisation programmes and organise camps to ensure greater access to rights and entitlements for trans women. They also provide crisis intervention support and facilitate access to employment.

Dorcas Research Centre for Education Art and Culture was founded in 1992. Their key focus is on livelihood for independent living of women with disabilities in the community. They run a shelter for homeless women with disability, with support of Chennai Corporation. They engage in training and participation of persons with disability in para-sports & para-athletics and also run a support group for women with HIV.

Ashadham Ashram Society was founded in 1997. They run a shelter in Udaipur to provide care and rehabilitation for persons with mental illness, developmental and other types of disabilities, and elderly, and persons with chronic illnesses such as HIV and Tuberculosis. The Ashadham Ashram shelter has a capacity of 200 residents for strengthening rehabilitation services.

Preethi Nivas Trust was founded in 2012, to promote dignity for the elderly who are destitute and disabled and to provide free tuition to children from nearby slums. They also run government-recognised special schools for children and a home for orphan boys. The plan to focus on nutrition and medical support for 65+ homeless elderly men.

Street Providence was founded in 2017 to provide shelters for the homeless, (including one dedicated to women). Over the years, they have provided basic shelter, health care services, and access to entitlements for homeless people and succeeded in rehabilitating some of them.

Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation started in 1988. The Foundation is dedicated to the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation of mentally ill, homeless and destitute individuals from the streets. Their rehabilitation centre at Karjat caters to 120 residents at any given time with an average stay of 2 months.

Maher Ashram was established in 1997 working to provide shelter and support to destitute women and children in Pune (with remote homes in Miraj, Ratnagiri, and Satara). They run shelter homes in Vatsalyadham, Karunalaya, and Priyata for mentally ill and challenged adult men and women.

Sri Arunodayam Trust was established in 2003 working to provide a safe and caring environment for the homeless and abandoned children with disabilities through two shelters. The Trust supports 113 abandoned children with disabilities, mainly girls with disabilities.

Ishwar Sankalpa was established in 2007. They run daycare shelters for homeless people with psychosocial disabilities, provide vocational training and link them with employment. They focus on providing shelter care to homeless women with psychosocial disabilities in order to enhance their well being and participation in society.
