Agrasar was founded in 2010 with an initial focus on skilling, than on education of migrant children. In 2017, they started working on labour rights, as part of the skill development and placement programme of the Odisha government, and then expanded to Gurugram. They have linked more than 2500 workers to social security and formal financial services and provided mediation and legal aid services to 600 workers.
