Grameen Sahara was established in 2002 to promote sustainable farm-based livelihoods such as irrigation, and improved agriculture and horticulture practices. They have also engaged in non-farm-based activities such as post cocoon silk yarn production for Eri silk, and handloom textile with tribal women and landless communities.
