Increase in poverty and inequality in India due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The speaker gives a brief overview of the findings from the report; State of Working India 2021: One Year of Covid-19 (#SWI2021) She touches upon the impact of the pandemic on incomes, and the corresponding effect on inequality and poverty. According to the report, the poor have suffered far more than the well-to-do and poverty in the country saw a massive increase with an additional 230 million or 23 crore individuals pushed below the national minimum wage threshold.
