World Environment Day Celebration

A play was conceptualised by our Keezhparikalpet Government High School students in view of the World Environment Day 2018. The theme was ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. Students identified areas where we consume too many plastics that lead to pollution and suggested simple remedial measures that each individual can practice to reduce the pollution. In their play, they talked about the disadvantages of using plastics, eating snacks packed in plastic packets, polluting the school by dropping plastics in ground, classroom, staircases, etc.,

This was then scripted into a dialogue and song method. By that, they had chosen effective medium to communicate the message to a larger audience. They presented this during the special assembly gathering on World Environment Day – June 5, 2018 to create an awareness among all the students in the school.
