Montfort Social Institute was founded in 2000, working with informal sector workers, slum communities, and transgender people. They have collectivised over 7000 domestic workers and specialise in training citizens on housing schemes and the right to access spaces within cities. They initiated networks for housing rights and informal sector workers.
