About the speaker: 

Shiv Dutt Mishra, a Gandhian thinker and educationist, has been working towards establishing Gandhi’s ideas of education, ‘Nai Talim’.He is currently the trustee  of ‘Nai Talim Samiti’. Shiv Dutt has also worked closely with the historian Dharampal. He has authored several books based on Gandhi’s educational philosophy including “ नयी तालीम (Nai Talim) : प्रयोग, प्रसार एवं परिणाम”.The webinar is on “गांधी और नई तालीम”, where Shiv Dutt Mishra talks about Gandhi’s educational philosophy which incorporates the coordination of head, hand and heart, and is an integration of life skills and vocational training. Nai Talim emphasises overcoming distinctions between learning and teaching, and knowledge and work. समता, समानता और न्यायपूर्ण समाज की प्राप्ति में नई तालीम का विचार सर्वाधिक महत्वपूर्ण हो सकता है।
