Selection Process

Online Application

  • Candidates are required to apply online by filling in the application form. The application forms are available at the links given below

  • Candidates are allowed to apply for only one position at a time 
  • Candidates who have already appeared for a test or interview for any role at the Foundation, can apply again only after a one-year period, from that date

  • Once the application is submitted, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement. The status will subsequently be available on the portal also which can be accessed via a link provided

  • The online application and resume will be screened thoroughly to ascertain the eligibility criteria and suitability to our kind of work

  • If the application is shortlisted post this evaluation, the candidate will be invited to appear for a written test. If not, the candidate will receive an email communication to that effect

  • Selection/rejection of an application is at the sole discretion of Azim Premji Foundation based on the suitability of a candidate to the organization

Written Test

  • Applicants shortlisted for the written test will receive an Admit Card via email to appear for the same. Written test centers will be allotted based on preference but could be changed if required due to practical logistics reasons. Depending on the type of position applied for, written tests could be a combination of general awareness and knowledge, subject experience and overall educational capacity

  • The written test will be administered as a part of the selection process to shortlisted candidates as the next step. However, in exceptional circumstances (like the Covid-19 pandemic) where the organization is not able to organize the written test, we reserve the right to shortlist candidates based on alternate criteria as appropriate

Recruiter Screening

  • Candidates qualifying the written test will have a preliminary discussion with one of our members regarding the requirements of the position, their qualifications for the same, as well as their current job, salary, relocation, and other information provided in the application

  • It is also an opportunity for the candidate to discuss other queries and clarifications related to the position at the Foundation

  • In case the candidate is not suited to be considered for the next round of an interview, they will receive an email communication informing them accordingly

Interview Rounds

  • There could be multiple stages of interviews for the different positions. At each stage candidates will be shortlisted and selected for the next round. Different aspects specific to the role will be discussed and assessed, including the candidates fit with the organization

  • Interview discussions can cover various areas like perspectives on education, subject knowledge, content and pedagogy understanding and practices, communication skills, values and dispositions. It is also an opportunity to interact with key members of the Foundation. Location preferences, willingness to relocate if necessary and remuneration expectations will also be covered

  • Candidates will be required to submit or bring along with them the documents mentioned in the interview call letter

  • After an interview, candidates will be informed electronically whether they are selected or not for the next stage 

Offer Letter

  • If the candidate is selected after the final interview and all documentation and other formalities are completed accurately, they will receive the offer letter

  • Selected candidates are expected to send the acceptance/rejection of the offer within one week of receiving the offer letter

  • All offers are subject to satisfactory document verification, reference and medical checks
